This month sees 2 new releases from the wonderful Merok, the label who brought us Klaxons, Crystal Castles and The Teenagers. First up is a split 7" from Comanechi and PRE, 2 groups fronted by the unstoppable Akiko....

I won't post both tracks, because you should buy it. Plus its pressed on 'jizz coloured vinyl' so how can you refuse...

The second record coming out is a collaboration between Merok and Rough Trade, as a kind of celebratory release for their new East London shop. It features Crystal Castles, PRE, The Teenagers and Whiskey Versus Faith. So basically a no brainer. And it's purple vinyl.


I was sent this track today, and although it won't be featuring on either of the new records, it's possibly my pick of the bunch. Listening to this brings to mind the no wave leanings of Dark Day or in some respects impLOG...in other words, me like.
